We think a good foster carer is ...

  • happy
  • gives us treats
  • generous
  • kind
  • happy to let us go to bed when we want
  • gives us pocket money
  • caring
  • a good listener
  • reliable

We think the worst foster carer in the world is ...

  • moody
  • gives you grief
  • don't want chores
  • violent
  • breaks promises
  • rude
  • angry
  • idiots
  • swearing
  • selfish
  • grumpy

We want to know what you think of your foster carers?

So we had this leaflet designed. If you would like a copy so you can fill it in and send it back to us just email Caz

Who can you talk to?

Sometimes you may feel that you can't talk to your social worker, foster carers or adoptive parents.

You may want to talk about your health, other children or young people, bullying at school or being unhappy.

You may want to talk about the people you usually talk to.

There are other people you can talk to about anything that is worrying you, like the Independent Visitors Co-ordinator, Children's Rights and Advocacy Service, or Health Assessments.

You may also be worried about what is going to happen when you leave your Foster Family. Some questions can be answered by the Leaving Care team and the Just Us Group.

A booklet has been written about Family Finding

to explain how we do this.
