We want to hear your complaints or comments so we can make sure you get the best out of your life and that people treat you in the best possible way. It's your right to be heard and your right to complain or make a comment. If you think you deserve better treatment or need to be heard, then you probably do! You're the best judge. You know yourself better than anyone. And with the right help you can find a way of sorting it out. "I'm embarrassed or scared to complain... what if it gets me into even more trouble than I already feel?" None of the people helping you will make you feel you're in trouble for making a complaint - it can be difficult to start a complaint, but don't let that stop you, take it step by step. Step One - Think about who you can trust to help you make the complaint.. Step Two - say... " I need you to help me make a complaint (or comment)" People working with you have a LEGAL duty to help you, and you can decide with them how best to solve the problems. Maybe you still don't feel heard? Then ask another trusted adult. But
If that's the case, then go to Step Three. You need to contact NYAS (the National Youth Advocacy Service). They have advocates who are there to make sure you are listened to and any problems are sorted out quickly. Step Four
