R U looked after by Cambridgeshire?
R U happy with your Care Plan?
R people listening to you?
If the answer is "no" to any of these an advocate could help!
So what is an advocate?
- Someone independent who is here just for you
- Someone who will listen to you
- Someone who will make sure others will listen to you
- They tell you what your rights are
John's Story
John had been waiting 18 months to be able to see his files. He got an ADVOCATE. He saw his file 2 weeks later.
Mary's Story
Mary was living away from Cambridgeshire. She wanted to return but no-one was listening. Mary kept running away from her placement to come back to Cambridgeshire. She got an ADVOCATE.
Mary felt listened to and supported to get her voice heard
Mary has now returned to Cambridgeshire and no longer feels she has to run away.
